Eye Rejuvenation

Create the appearance of a skin lift without surgery

Drooping skin around the eyes is one of the first signs of aging, but these days, our lifestyles are equally responsible for sagging skin. Staring at the computer screen for hours, squinting the eyes to read, hours of playing video games, and aging, can weaken the skin around the eyes and lead to the formation of bags.

Non-surgical eye rejuvenation can help reverse the effects of stress and age and help you regain smooth skin around your eyes. At Renew MD Facial Aesthetics, we have years of experience helping patients recover their lost youth with eye rejuvenation. We can help you, too.

Is eye rejuvenation safe?

Yes, this treatment is FDA approved. Eye rejuvenation focuses on treating the skin around the eyes and not your eyes themselves. It is not an ophthalmological procedure, but a cosmetic treatment.

At our med spa, we focus the treatment on the skin around the eyes — near the eyebrows, on the lids, and the upper cheek region — to tighten and texturize the skin.

How does eye rejuvenation work?

We use the BTL Exilis Ultra to administer the treatment. The surrounding healthy tissue and your eyes are not targeted by the device. The heating cycle also starts gradually, allowing the skin around your eyes to get used to the thermal energy at a slow pace. We will apply a water-based gel on the treatment area to use as a comfortable cooling agent and glide for the handpiece.

Dr. Gordon and her qualified team are highly-experienced in nonsurgical eye rejuvenation. You can entrust in their hands your safety and cosmetic needs.

Eye rejuvenation process

The Exilis Ultra uses radiofrequency and ultrasound technology which is very delicate and feels similar to a hot stone massage.

A layer of water-based gel is applied to the treatment site. This gel helps to better conduct the energy from the Exilis Ultra into the dermal tissues. While the former is great for targeting surface-level skin cells, the latter targets the deeper layers of the dermis, rejuvenating the weakened and aged skin tissues.

Exilis Ultra

The Exilis Ultra releases a series of hot-and-cold pulses. The heat creates micro-wounds on the skin cells, which automatically starts the wound healing process of the body. To heal these micro-injuries, your body releases extra collagen and elastin — proteins that are responsible for the fullness and elasticity of your skin, all of which are on a cellular level. As the collagen and elastin increase in volume, your skin fibers start to become stronger, more supple, and softer. After a few treatments, the bags under your eyes will have disappeared, leaving behind smooth and tight skin.

After the procedure is complete, you are welcome to resume your normal routine. The area around your eyes may be swollen and tender, but this will subside in a few days. We give you a comprehensive list of skincare and eye care tips that you can use to help stimulate and prolong your results.

Who can undergo the treatment?

Eye rejuvenation may be right for you if:

  • You don’t want to undergo invasive eye surgery to tighten your skin
  • You are allergic to ingredients present in products like Belotero, Restylane, and Juvederm
  • You have any type of metal implant within the immediate and surrounding treatment areas
  • You don’t have warts or an infection on the skin that can bleed because of the thermal energy
