  • Do I need an appointment?

Yes, unless walking in to purchase products, booking an appointment is the best way to ensure all your questions, concerns and services are taken care of.

  • Can I do a service on the same day of my consultation?

Yes, as long as you mention that at the time of booking your consultation so we can schedule you accordingly.

  • Who will my consultation be with? Can I see the Physician (Dr. Gordon)?

Absolutely, every consultation is personally with Dr. Gordon and our skin care specialist Haley. You are welcome to go over all your questions and concerns.

  • Do you have a cancelation policy?

We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. This way we are able to fill that appointment slot. (See our full policy at the bottom of about us page)

  • Do I have to do Before and Afters, what is the importance of it?

Yes, it makes a huge difference in seeing the process of improvement of the period of your treatments. Collagen stimulation is gradual so by looking at yourself everyday, it may be hard to see the difference, but once comparing your before and afters, it is very apparent of the differences

  • Does the laser hurt?

Depending on the treatment you are receiving will depend on the intensity level. Some patients don’t feel a thing, some describe a small warm zap. However, there is no burning or scabbing with this laser.

  • Is there downtime?

Nope! That is the beauty of this laser. You can apply makeup and go about your day as you normally would. We just recommend not working out or sweating right after.

  • Can it be used on darker skin types?

Yes! Aerolase is one of the only lasers on the market that is able to treat all fitzpatrick skin types.

  • Is it safe for children/teenagers struggling with acne or hyperpigmentation?

With parent consent of course, yes. Treating acne is a passion of ours. We have patients as young as 10 that we see for acne struggles.

  • Does it hurt?

It can feel a little like a small bee sting. If you are nervous we are happy to apply topical numbing cream to the area.

  • What filler do I need?

Dr. Gordon is the expert. She will be able to determine which filler would be best for the location you are wanting to have treated.

  • What is the down time to expect?

With any type of injection, there is a risk for bruising. You can also have mild local swelling. Applying ice can help reduce inflammation. Allow at least 2 weeks of downtime just in case.

  • How long does it last?

Filler can last anywhere from 3 months to a year. It truly depends on the area of treatment.

Wrinkle Relaxers last anywhere from 3-6 months.

  • Can I buy half a syringe of filler?

Your safety is our TOP priority. Due to the risk of cross contamination from separating the product into different syringes, we cannot insure the product remains sterile. For that reason, we do not portion our filler into half syringes.

  • What will I look like after this treatment?

You will be pinkish red, like a mild sunburn, with some possible “pinpoint” bleeding. This will calm down within a few hours after the treatment.

  • Will it hurt?

We apply topical numbing cream to the entire treatment area. It can feel like small scratches on the skin.

  • What is the difference between Microneedling and Microdermabrasion?

Microneedling is a stronger and longer lasting collagen stimulation treatment. It creates a tiny microchannel in the skin that then fills with collagen to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scarring. Microdermabrasion is simply a top layer exfoliation that does not penetrate any deeper than the epidermis layer.

Chemical Peels

  • Will I look scary, like a snake or burnt?

We would not jump you into an intense peel. We build your skin strength and resilience to the peels. Your first couple of peels will have an “active” feeling when applied. The after effects will leave you with a nice glow. Your peeling will be more like dry flakes and mild shedding.

  • What if I don’t peel?

That is okay! The peel still works, it simply means you don’t need as much cell turn over.

  • How often should I get a peel?

It is truly up to your discretion, they are a perfect boost to get your skin back to healthy and glowing. We usually recommend regular maintenance every 1-3 months.

HydraFacial / Custom Facials

  • What is the difference between HydraFacial and Custom Facials?

HydraFacial is a specialized type of facial that not only cleanses the face, but exfoliates, extracts imperfections and replenishes the skin with hydration boosts and hyaluronic acids.

  • What is the down time for Facials and HyrdraFacials?

You do not need to have any down time, we do recommend not to apply any makeup the day of your facial so your skin can breath and absorb the products applied during your facial.

  • How long do Facials and HydraFacials take?

Your pampering and relaxation is our goal, as well as providing an effective treatment. Plan for about an hour for these treatments to relax and unwind.

Body Contouring Devices

  • What is the down time for Verju or BTL?

There is none, but plan for your appointment to last about an hour and a half. We recommend some type of stimulating exercise after the treatment. Ie. walking around the block

  • What do I need to wear to these appointments?

We will provide towel wraps for you to protect your modesty. Depending on your area of concern, we will just need your skin exposed in that area. If you feel more comfortable wearing a swimsuit or workout clothes that is fine too.

  • When will I see results?

It will take time and everybody’s body is different. Some patients will see it almost immediately, while some need several treatments. Don’t lose hope, keep up with your healthy lifestyle and regular treatments.
